TITLE:  Digital Asset Assistant (Temporary)
LOCATION: Manchester, UK.  This role is required to work on-site at Equality Now’s Manchester office five (5) days a week
REPORTS TO: Global Head of Digital and Production
DURATION: One-month temporary assignment

POSITION OVERVIEW

Equality Now is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Digital Asset Assistant to support the Digital and Production Team in streamlining our photo archive for a temporary, one-month assignment.  The primary responsibility of this role is to audit, organise, and migrate photo assets from Google Drive into Adobe Lightroom. The ideal candidate will ensure images are accurately tagged and categorised to support easy access and long-term usability. This position plays a critical role in strengthening our digital asset management systems and will work closely with the Global Head of Digital and Production.

 

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

The following is a general outline of duties and responsibilities for this role. It is not an exhaustive list, and additional duties may be assigned or removed at the discretion of the Global Head of Digital and Production  to meet organizational needs and priorities:

  • Conduct a thorough audit of photo assets stored across various folders within Google Drive. 
  • Systematically transfer, rename, and categorise images into a centralised Adobe Lightroom library.
  • Apply consistent metadata, tagging, and categorisation protocols to ensure accurate and searchable records.
  • Develop and implement a logical, user-friendly folder structure and cataloguing system.
  • Identify and flag duplicate, low-quality, or potentially copyright-sensitive images for review.
  • Ensure all digital asset management processes comply with Equality Now’s internal standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Head of Digital and Production to meet project milestones and deliverables on schedule.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

  • Complete and accurate transfer of all relevant photo assets to Adobe Lightroom.
  • Clear, consistent categorisation and tagging of images to enable easy access and searchability.
  • Implementation of a scalable and standardised asset management system.
  • Timely delivery of project milestones within the one-month assignment period.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Professional Experience and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated interest or experience in digital asset management, photo organisation, or visual content archiving.
  • Proficiency in Google Drive and Adobe Lightroom is essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in metadata entry and tagging accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with file naming conventions and digital folder structuring.
  • Prior experience in a communications, creative, or nonprofit setting is an asset.
