POSITION OVERVIEW

The Program Officer, Digital Rights plays a critical role in advancing Equality Now’s mission to protect and promote the rights of women and girls in digital spaces. As part of the Be Net Positive campaign, this role supports the delivery of strategic initiatives aimed at:

  • Ending Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) and Online Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OSEA)

  • Securing digital rights through the Alliance for Universal Digital Rights (AUDRi)

  • Advancing research and advocacy to combat online misogyny and harmful digital practices

Rooted in legal and human rights expertise, this position is ideal for a committed advocate with a background in law—particularly in digital rights, women’s rights, and EU digital rights and AI legal frameworks. The successful candidate will bring a nuanced understanding of how systemic discrimination against women and girls intersects with broader social inequalities and will apply that knowledge to drive meaningful, rights-based change across digital environments.
